Help shape trusted health information in Essex
Published on: August 13, 2026
Have you ever Googled your symptoms?
Or searched social media for health advice?
Maybe you’ve watched a video explaining a medical condition or even asked an AI tool like ChatGPT a question about your health.
If so, you’re not alone.
More and more of us are turning to the internet to find health information. But with so much content available, it can be difficult to know what’s accurate, trustworthy and up to date.
That’s why NHS Essex is asking people across Essex to share their experiences through a short survey. More than 300 people have already taken part, but they want to hear from as many people as possible before it closes.
Your answers will help shape Think. Check. Trust. – a new NHS Essex campaign that will provide practical advice and tools to help people feel more confident finding trusted health information online.
The survey asks about:
- where you look for health information
- how confident you feel knowing what to trust
- whether you’ve ever come across misleading or inaccurate health information online
- what support would help you make informed decisions about your health.
It takes around five minutes to complete, is anonymous, and is open to anyone aged 16 or over living in Essex.
Whether you search online every day or only occasionally, your experiences matter and will help them to create resources that reflect how people really find health information today.
Take part before the survey closes at 5pm on 31 August.
