Match of the Dames is a Community Interest Company and the initiative and campaign founded to introduce women and girls who have never attended a football match before to attend a National League game.

This was trialled last season in Altrincham and this season Southend has been picked along with 5 other teams in this exciting initiative.

The goal is to bring 400 new female attendees to live matches across a season. So whether you want to bring your mum, nan, daughter, auntie, sister or just come alone its your choice.

The experience includes pre-match meet-ups, a communal walk to the stadium, and a welcoming environment in the stands.

It is all completely free of charge, excluding personal travel.
