Yoga workshop supports volunteers wellbeing

Published on: April 14, 2025

SAVS project, Supported Volunteering partnered up with Sammi at MyYogi Tribe & The Yoga Factory to offer a 5week workshop to help our members improve their mental wellbeing.

Yoga is proven to reduce stress and anxiety, improve mood and emotional well-being, and can boost focus and concentration.

Sammi guided us through each class where we learnt breathing techniques, stretches, mindfulness & yoga as a practice for good all round wellbeing.

One participant said,
“The workshop helped me cope with my addictions, stress & complex PTSD. I found my symptoms reduce during practice. I felt anxious at times but Sammi was reassuring and I felt safe.”
The workshops run alongside finding people a voluntary role and are a brilliant way to build confidence, meet others and keep healthy.
