Supported Volunteers Enjoy Drawing Workshop

Published on: August 18, 2025

Our SAVS Supported Volunteering Project enjoyed teaming up with Dave Nev & Andy Downes to run a 4-week Drawing Workshop – and it was such a great experience!

Dave (our talented tutor) brought so much creativity and calm to each session, making it a safe and inspiring space for everyone to try new skills and explore their artistic side.

A big shout-out to @spankarts for providing their brilliant studio space on Princes Street, Southend – a real hub for local artists and community creativity. If you’re a community group, support service or charity looking to run your own art workshops (or just need a great space to hire), they’re definitely worth contacting!

Our Supported Volunteering Project is about more than just finding volunteer roles – we also run workshops that boost confidence, reduce isolation and help people connect. We understand mental health concerns and work with you to find opportunities that feel right.
