Community Builders Good News Story: Shoebury Station Gardens

Published on: July 31, 2026

Eda, our Community Builder had a heart-warming morning celebrating the wonderful gardens at Shoebury Train Station. It was lovely to spend time with Rhona and Martin, joined by c2c, Bayo Alaba MP, Shoebury Residents Association, and other local partners who all play a part in making Shoebury such a special place.

Bayo brought a lovely touch of humour to his speech by sharing the story of Rhona arriving at his office with a red watering can and telling him to look after the plants on West Road — a perfect example of her courage, dedication, and pride in the local area. The Shoebury Volunteers Team were also presented with a plaque, which came as a wonderful surprise and was received with great joy. Here’s to this fantastic collaboration between local organisations, businesses, and residents continuing to bring pride, colour, and joy to Shoebury.
