Give Your Family Real Confidence – This IS NOT Just Another Activity

Looking for something meaningful to do with your pre-teen?
Skip the usual days out and try something that could genuinely make a difference.

Join a powerful, hands-on 2-hour family self-protection workshop delivered by SOS Combatives CIC – the UK’s first Community Interest Company dedicated entirely to real-world personal safety.

This isn’t about martial arts or getting fit.
It’s about helping your family stay safe, aware, and prepared in everyday life.

Why families love this experience

You won’t just be watching from the sidelines – you’ll learn and train together in a supportive, engaging environment designed especially for adults and young people (10+)

By the end of the session, you’ll all feel:

  • More confident handling real-world situations
  • Better at spotting and avoiding danger early
  • Calmer under pressure
  • Stronger as a team, with clearer communication and trust

What you’ll actually learn

Through simple, practical techniques anyone can use, you’ll discover how to:

  • Recognise danger before it escalates
  • Avoid or escape threatening situations
  • Set boundaries with confidence
  • Protect yourself – and each other – if things go wrong

Designed for real families

Every part of the workshop is structured so everyone benefits:

  • Children/Pre-teens build confidence, awareness, and assertiveness (10+)
  • Adults sharpen decision-making and personal safety skills
  • Families improve how they communicate and respond together

No experience needed. No fitness level required. Just a willingness to learn something that matters.

This is more than just a workshop

This event also supports Home-Start Essex, helping families facing challenging circumstances.
So while you’re investing in your own family’s safety, you’re making a real difference to others too.

Important to know

  • This is not a martial arts class
  • This is not a fitness session
  • It’s practical, real-world personal safety made accessible for families

All children must attend with a parent or responsible adult
Spaces are limited to keep the session safe and high-quality
