SAVS is delighted to be chosen by Essex County Fire and Rescue Service for its next fundraising campaign, where the efforts of their team will help towards the costs involved in taking 20 young people on a residential to Derbyshire.
The planned Derbyshire trip will give young people the chance to step away from their everyday environment, try new experiences and develop important life skills such as teamwork, resilience, and independence. For many, it will also be an opportunity to explore a new part of the country and take part in activities they may not otherwise have access to.
SAVS is incredibly grateful to staff across Essex County Fire and Rescue Service for getting behind the project and helping to make the trip more accessible and affordable for the young people involved.
Hayley Duff, Youth & Family Programme Manager, said:

They give young people the chance to try something new, strengthen friendships and develop teamworking skills in a safe and supportive environment.”
