Impetus Skills Grant 2026 Targets NEET Youth Development

Funder: Impetus

Funding Available: Over £100,000

Closing Date: 15 June, 2026

Available to: Not for Profit Groups

Type of Fund: National

About this Funding:

Not-for-profit organisations working with disadvantaged young people can apply for £100,000 in core funding and support through Impetus’ Skills grant round.

Impetus is seeking to partner with one or two organisations that help young people aged 16 to 24 who are not in education, employment or training move into employment through work-related skills, including vocational or essential skills training.

Over one million young people are not in employment or full-time education, with those from disadvantaged backgrounds twice as likely as their better-off peers to be not in education, employment or training (NEET). The aim is to improve employment outcomes for these young people.

The grant will initially be awarded for one year, with the potential for Impetus to become a longer-term funder. Successful organisations will also receive support from Impetus’ investment team, and access to pro bono expertise, peer learning and policy networks.

Priority will be given to organisations supporting young people who are lower qualified, from Pakistani, Black, Mixed, or Gypsy or Irish Traveller backgrounds, have SEND, or are looked-after children or care-experienced.

Applicants must be UK-registered charities, social enterprises or non-profit organisations working with at least 100 young people, have at least five full-time equivalent staff, and a minimum turnover of £250,000. The organisation’s youth employment work must be delivered in England, Wales or Scotland.

Expressions of interest close on 15 June 2026, with invited full applications due by 24th July 2026.
