The Southend Supports Breastfeeding Team checked in with the lovely team at the.dogcafe in Thorpe Bay to see how they’ve been getting on since signing up for our scheme 2 years ago!

Soon-to-be Manager, Lucy (pictured right), who has been part of the cafe family for some time, shared this beautiful insight with us:

“We think it’s such a no-brainer to be part of the breastfeeding-friendly scheme. I’m not a parent myself, but I believe it’s so important to offer an environment where nursing parents feel relaxed and truly welcomed. We had a nursing parent in here just this week and generally we have lots!

By simply checking in to make sure they were comfortable, serving them as normal, and offering a glass of water, we hope we made them feel supported during their visit.”
